West Chester Hospital Names Chief Nursing Officer
Interim CNO Kathie Hays to assume full-time role
CINCINNATI (October 30, 2017) — West Chester Hospital has named Kathie Hays, MSN, RN, CNOR, as Chief Nursing Officer, effective immediately.

An experienced nursing administrator, Hays has served as Interim Chief Nursing Officer since February in addition to her previous role as Director of Perioperative Services. She was named to the permanent role following a regional search.

Kathie was chosen from among a group of internal and external candidates, as a result of her impressive educational background, tremendous clinical experience and leadership performance during her tenure at West Chester Hospital and UC Health,” said Tom Daskalakis, chief administrative officer at West Chester Hospital. “I am confident that she will capably lead our Patient Care Services team.”

In addition to holding a master’s degree in nursing administration from Xavier University, Hays has more than 35 years of experience at hospitals and health organizations in the greater Cincinnati region.

As a member of the West Chester Hospital leadership team for five years, Hays has played an integral role in overseeing patient safety, quality, operational performance, staff retention strategies, and customer service in the Perioperative Services areas and across the hospital.
