2017 Hope for the Holidays Program

Help provide hope to families in need this holiday season by joining the City of Mason and Mason City Schools in the annual Hope for the Holidays program. This year, the City of Mason and Mason City Schools along with local organizations and businesses are leading efforts to give back to our community by assisting parents or guardians in providing Holiday gifts for their children. Any child through age 17 (18 if they are currently enrolled in school) is eligible to receive gifts as part of the program.

There are many ways you can help someone in need this season:

  • Adopt a family. Families, neighborhoods, organizations and businesses can adopt a family to provide for gifts for. Each participating organization will receive age and size information of your adopted family. To adopt a family, please call the City of Mason at 513-229-8555 and leave a contact name and phone number.

  • Donate new and unwrapped toys, non- perishable food or gift cards/certificates. Donations from the community will be accepted in the collection barrels at the following location through Friday, December 15:
  • Mason Municipal Center, 6000 Mason-Montgomery Road, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Collection barrels will be located in the main atrium and the Police Department lobby.
  • Mason Community Center, 6050 Mason-Montgomery Road, whenever the facility is open.

To arrange for special assistance in making your donation, or if you know someone in the Mason City School District who needs assistance this holiday season, please call 513-229-8500 or e-mail jhurley@masonoh.org or dchambers@masonoh.org

Your gift will help make this a memorable holiday season for somebody special in the Mason community.
