Job Description
IT Support Technician
Part time – M-F 8am-12pm

Job Responsibilities:
  • Sets up classrooms and PCs for computer based and "soft-skills" training classes.
  • Insures that the appropriate virtual machines are installed and running on the instructor PC and student PCs under HyperV for classes with locally hosted labs.
  • Sets up classes and student accounts in Learn on Demand and provides login information to the instructor and the students for classes using remotely hosted labs.
  • Creates a GoToMeeting session and provides login information to the instructor and the students for remote students.
  • Creates LogMeIn sessions and provide login information to the instructor and the students for remote students
  • Sets up standalone computers for accessing remote training programs.
  • Provides support to local and remote students and instructors.
  • Uses imaging software to setup PCs for use by a third party based on rental arrangements.
Technical Competencies:
  • Experience using Windows 10
  • Experience installing software, such as: Office, Acrobat, Chrome, Java
  • Experience setting up VMs in HyperV and deploying them to multiple computers
  • Experience using Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Able to move and setup computer equipment: computers, monitors, printers, etc.
  • Experience connecting Audio / Visual equipment to PCs including speakers, microphones, web cams and projectors.
  • Experience with remote meeting and training software, such as, GoToMeeting, LogMeIn and Learn on Demand.
  • Experience with imaging computers
  • Experience with changing BIOS/UEFI settings
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing equipment
