Send Our Troops a Little Holiday Cheer!
For the 11th year, Mueller Funeral Home is once again proud to host the Stockings for the Troops initiative.
Please take a moment to gather items for our troops. You can bring the items (see list below) in a stocking or NOT in a stocking to be mailed to the troops. We will be sure the items NOT in a stocking are distributed the same as all the other items in a stocking. Stop in during business hours to pick-up a Free Christmas Stocking while supply lasts, fill it with Christmas cheer, and return it to Mueller Funeral Home by Friday, November 5th to be shipped to deployed troops just in time for the Holidays.
The “short list” of recommended items: hygiene & health products, games, cards, reading material, weather-protective items, and of course, candy, gum, and snacks. If possible, please attach $3 to your stocking to help with shipping costs.
If you have a loved one or know a local HERO currently serving overseas, please supply us with his or her A.P.O. Address!
If desired, Monetary donations for shipping may be given to Mueller Funeral Home with your tax-deductible check made out to Yellow Ribbon Support Center. Please call for further information.

- GLASS CONTAINERS
- LARGE “ECONOMY” SIZE ITEMS (ANYTHING LARGER THAN 4-6 oz)
- AEROSOL CANS OF ANY SORT (THESE CANNOT BE SHIPPED)
- USED ITEMS – ALL ITEMS SHOULD BE NEW
- Baby Wipes, Flavored Drink Powder Sticks, Hand Sanitizer, Lip Balm, Razors/Refills, Hand Warmers, Multivitamins, Vit C Drops, Tums, Maalox, Pepto Tabs, Mints, Hard Candy, Gum, Beef Jerky, Slim Jim, Protein/Power Bars, Granola Bars, Hot Chocolate, Microwavable Soup, Mac & Cheese, Pop Tarts, Playing Cards, Games, Paperback Books, Puzzles, Stationery, Blank Greeting Cards, (Birthday, Anniversary, Sympathy) for Soldiers to write/send to loved ones.
Instructions:
**All Travel-Size Liquid Containers: Please place in a separate ziplock bag--not in stocking. Shampoo, Body Wash, Mouthwash, etc. – (travel size recommended)
**Deodorant/Cream Needs to be placed in separate ziplock bag-- not in stocking.
Fill stockings with miscellaneous items. If you have more than what the stocking will hold place the stocking in a 2-gallon ziplock bag with the remaining items along side of it.
Please do not staple or sew closed the stockings.
If possible, please attach $3 (or any amount) to stocking for shipping & handling.
A tax-deductible check may be made out to Mueller Funeral Home.
